New Company Offers Cool Pillowcases
Our friend Tracy Pendergast of Teewii sent us a note to let us know about her latest endeavor, Plush Design LA. We’ll let her tell you about it:
Recently my best friend and I started a pillowcase company. We have a ton of new designs launching after the new year- but we just got 2 designs in that are perfect gifts for the holidays. We have the Adventurer Set and the Adventur-ish case.
The GLAMP pillowcase is $12 and the Mr. Outdoors/Mrs. Adventure set is $20.
Not bad prices, right? And the designs are cute. As Tracy tells us, more designs are coming soon. We’ll let you know about those as well.

Oops! Sears Pulls Swastika Rings

Oopsie! Are Swastikas still offensive? Sheesh, can’t you people get OVER it already?
To be fair, these rings showed up in the “Sears Marketplace”, which I believe is not officially Sears. Consumerist also reports that the rings were “briefly” on Amazon.com as well.
The item’s description, according to the Consumerist article, is quite something:
“This gothic jewelry item in particular features a Swastika ring that’s made of .925 Thai silver,” the item description read. “Not for Neo Nazi or any Nazi implication. These jewelry items are going to make you look beautiful at your next dinner date.”
So if, as the song says, you don’t know you’re beautiful…
perhaps one of these rings can help? I doubt it.

Game Of Thrones 3-Eyed Raven Plush Is Creepy
Arguably the creepiest character in Game of Thrones is the 3-eyed raven. (Note: Game of Thrones refers to the TV show. The books are called A Song of Ice and Fire. Geek Gold Card, folks.) So naturally someone decided to make a plush toy out of the thing.
I don’t know what it is about the 3-eyed raven that creeps me out. Ravens, of course, are inherently creepy thanks to Edgar Allan Poe.
But this particular bird, even in the George R.R. Martin novels, gives me a serious case of the heebie-jeebies. Which is apparently the title of a song by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five. Who knew? Here it is from YouTube:
Anyway, the bird creeps me out and there’s no way I would ever buy this toy, especially not for a kid. Although I suppose this is meant as a “collectible”. But… it’s a plush toy… of a… 3-eyed raven.
