Write Stuff Down Because You’ll Forget (Tips)
When a parent tells you to write stuff down, they could be talking about good old to-do lists. I do that constantly; I’m concerned that I’ll forget to do whatever it is I’m writing down, and also because I actually am likely to forget whatever it is unless I write it down. (Follow that?) In this case, I’m not speaking of to-do lists. I’m talking about about stuff you do with your kids. You should write it down because you will forget.
You may think that you’ll remember. After all, you’re not that old, right? Read more »

The title of this short animated video about a toy is “Alma”, written and directed by Rodrigo Blaas. You may find it creepy; if you do, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Personally, I wasn’t too creeped out by “Alma”. Read more »
Avatar The Last Airbender Is Awesome Despite The Movie (Updated With New Show Info)
[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CggapZLtWdo]
I’ve been watching Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender via Netflix with Thing 2 for a second time; Dark Horse Comics has been publishing comics that continue the tale told on TV and we both wanted to get back into that world. Since M. Night Shyamalan’s live-action Airbender movie was so awful, I also wanted to make sure that DaddyTips readers are aware of how awesome the cartoon and comics are, despite the fact that the movie was terrible. Also of note is a new animated series, Avatar: The Legend of Korra, which starts July 9th which has been on the air for awhile now but somehow I didn’t notice. I don’t know anything about the show, although I have a feeling I’ll be watching it. For now let’s discuss the original. Read more »
Brett Singer Live To Return Soon
Brett Singer Live, the online radio show that I’ve been doing for awhile now, will soon return to the airwaves of the Interweb. You are excited. I know. I can tell.
My most recent show was back in November when I interviewed Neal Pollack, author of Jewball. I’m bringing the show back because it’s become rather popular, with literally thousands of downloads every month. Who am I to deny the will of the people?
All of the shows are archived at BlogTalkRadio. You can also listen to it online via iTunes here, or subscribe to the podcast feed. Watch this space for the date and time of the next show.

How YouTube Helped Me Get My LOTR Digital Copy
Gather ’round, gentle readers. I am here to present to you the tale of how YouTube helped me get the Digital Copy of LOTR (Lord of the Rings, ‘natch) before the codes expired.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — thank goodness that there are people with time on their hands who like to post videos to YouTube. Usually when I say that I’m referring to folks who take the time to post scenes from old TV shows online. When I’m researching articles for Snakkle, these folks are invaluable.
This time I’m grateful that a YouTuber using the handle Blucollection posted this video of his unboxing of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-Ray box set. Read more »
