DaddyDeal – Disney/Pixar Greatest, 25 Songs For Less Than Four Bucks
Like Pixar movies? Like the music from Pixar movies? Like to save money? Have we got a DaddyDeal for you.
Amazon has a set of 25 songs from Pixar movies for $3.99. Less than four bucks, folks. Instantly downloaded to your computer, or streamed via Amazon Cloud.
If you prefer, you can buy the CD for $4.99. Which is also a very good deal. This way you get the CD, which can easily be ripped onto your computer. And probably stored in Amazon Cloud, and then streamed. Maybe. Haven’t tried that yet.
The truth is at this moment in time I’m more inclined towards downloads. Not that I don’t think there’s a loss of audio quality. There is. And you don’t get a physical product. But that’s a plus right now. Because if there’s anything I don’t need, it’s more stuff.
I know. I’m the one who always says it’s your patriotic duty to buy things. First of all Read more »
Get Black Friday Deals All Week At Amazon
Why wait until Friday for Black Friday deals? Amazon has Black Friday deals all week long. Starting now. Monday November 19.
Now, you might say, if you are calendar-centric, that Black Friday Deals Week is a strange sounding phrase. You might even be correct. To you we say… well, not much. Basically Amazon is offering deals on all kinds of stuff all week, not just on Friday. Meaning you can shop now from the comfort of your home or office. Or the bus. Or wherever you happen to be. Ain’t technology grand?

Bonus: For no reason other than we like the song, here is a little tune from Alice Leonz, an Indonesian artist we discovered on Fandalism. It’s a nice mellow number, which is helpful if you need to calm down because the notion of Black Friday Week is making you cuckoo.

How YouTube Helped Me Get My LOTR Digital Copy
Gather ’round, gentle readers. I am here to present to you the tale of how YouTube helped me get the Digital Copy of LOTR (Lord of the Rings, ‘natch) before the codes expired.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — thank goodness that there are people with time on their hands who like to post videos to YouTube. Usually when I say that I’m referring to folks who take the time to post scenes from old TV shows online. When I’m researching articles for Snakkle, these folks are invaluable.
This time I’m grateful that a YouTuber using the handle Blucollection posted this video of his unboxing of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Blu-Ray box set. Read more »

Runaway Bunny Reviewed By A Maniac
Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if the book The Runaway Bunny was reviewed by a maniac? Wonder no more!
According to one particularly peeved person, the book that we all thought was cute is “like a horror movie where the mom has gone insane and hunts down her child who dearly wishes to escape her.”
This is good stuff, folks.
Personally, we were always troubled by the line in the book when the little bunny tells his mom, “If you become the wind and blow me…” But maybe that’s just us.
The review was highlighted by the site LeastHelpful.com, a collection of less than helpful user reviews posted on Amazon. Great idea. And yes, we’re a little jealous that we didn’t think of it first.
If you disagree with the above reviewer and want to buy The Runaway Bunny anyway, you may do so at Amazon.
