Small Desk Space Tip

Here’s a tip from Lifehacker for those of us with limited desk space.

Also features numerous links to other specific things to do with certain types of desks, and specific ideas, which is always appreciated. Rather than reblog the text from their site, I’ll let you go check it out for yourself.

Dear Lifehacker, My workspace isn’t the most spacious or open. In fact, it’s downright small and clutter-prone. Do you have any tips for making the most of what little desk space I have—on the cheap, of course?

Holy Crap James Harrison Is Strong (Video)

In case you didn’t know, NFL players are not like the rest of us. (Unless you happen to be an NFL player, of course.) Most of them are bigger, stronger, and faster. Also stronger. Have I mentioned stronger? Here’s a video of Pittsburgh Steelers‘ linebacker James Harrison throwing his children into the pool.

James…. I think Henry had more fun watching this one ?

A video posted by James Harrison (@jhharrison92) on

I mean… wow. One commenter summed it up thusly:

alexweatherly @teeeeeker he throws a kid higher than I can throw a balloon

Yeah. That’s about all you need to say.

You can check out Mr. Harrison’s Instagram page for more things you probably can’t do, many of them involving epic Feats of Strength.

Sorry, gotta post this now:

All the M*A*S*H for 60 Bucks

Amazon Deal that ends tonight, so move fast if you want it — get all the M*A*S*H for 60 bucks.

Technically the price is $59.99. But there might be tax which would make it more. So let’s say 60 bucks, for which you receive 34 DVDs. Not bad, right?

Just to make things interesting, here’s a personal M*A*S*H story. Because we used to watch whatever was on TV, I watched a fair amount of M*A*S*H, even when I was too young to fully appreciate it. This was extremely true when I saw an episode in which Klinger has some sort of nightmare. That’s all I remember — other than the fact that I was scared out of my mind. I’m fairly certain it gave me nightmares, and TV generally doesn’t do that.

Obviously M*A*S*H is one of the all-time great television shows, true classic tv, and the movie it’s based on is worth seeing as well. So go ahead and buy this uber-collection. But do it today because Amazon says it goes bye-bye tomorrow.

ROGUE ONE: A Star Wars Story Trailer Hits All The Right Notes

So you may have heard about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the latest Star Wars movie. It comes out in December. Here’s the trailer. Prepare to feel nostalgic.

DaddyTips Featured Video

Am I right or am I right? They do a damn fine job of appealing to both us old folks (ahem) and the new generation of Star Wars fans. This particular video has both the “isn’t it cool that we’re making a new Star Wars movie?” and the actual trailer. The movie itself looks pretty good. I hope it is since I’ll wind up seeing it anyway.

Yeah, I Want To Read This

There’s a new artist’s rendering of the Star Wars land being built at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The 14-acre addition (similar to the one being built at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida) will be the biggest single-theme expansion at the parks in history. Obviously this concept image tilts toward the fantastical. Still, Disney has said it does represent some of the attractions that will be included. Let’s fly a little closer and see what we can find ….
