All 7 X-Men Movies For Only $31.98 – Time-Limited DaddyDeal
Not going to say much about this because you don’t have much time to buy it if you want it. Here’s the DaddyDeal from Amazon — all 7 X-men movies for only $31.98. Free shipping. Deal expires November 15 just before midnight. Your mileage may vary. Disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer.
According to a commenter, the X-Men: Days of Future Past and Wolverine Collection [Blu-ray] is “missing almost all the special features of every movie. They basically took all the old movies that have 2 discs and only put the first disc in this collection so the special features disc for all the movies is missing. It even says disc one on some of the movies. So basically you get just the movie and that’s it.” (Note that according to the description, you do get special features on X-Men: Days of Future Past.) However, another commenter points out how good a deal this is: “At less than $5 per movie, what do you expect? Rent digital once, or own on Bluray – easy choice. As many have said, lots of people never watch the extras anyway … great deal.”
That’s where I come down on the issue (if issue there be). Getting all of the X-movies for such a low price is a great deal. I bought it. You should buy it before the price goes back up. Which is kinda soon. So do it already!

Kiddie-Lockout Feature Should Be Standard on iOS and Android
I know I’ve said this before, but just in case I haven’t typed it on DaddyTips, I firmly believe that a kiddie-lockout feature should be standard on all mobile devices, iOS and Android.
Apparently there are others who agree with me.
For IOS on the iPad, they should implement the concept of multi-user accounts and the ability to lock down features for non-administrator accounts. This would be great when a family shares an iPad, but do not want their kids mucking around in the settings, or deleting stuff.
Now, it should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy S5 has this feature, at least according to one of their TV ads:
I’m fairly certain this isn’t a new feature for some Android devices. Read through the comments on the Engadget page; a few folks get specific there.
The S5 is also “dust and water resistant”, according to this spot:
But yeah, keeping the kids away from the stuff on your phone or tablet should be a standard feature across the board. I don’t want my kids reading my email, my texts, or even seeing what apps I use. Not that I would ever use my phone for anything inappropriate. But I’d like to have the option.
via I can’t believe Android or iOS still don’t have _______! – Engadget.

Maybe you’ve seen it already. But I know from talking to folks who read DaddyTips that they expect me to use my great geeky power responsibly to disseminate information about upcoming movies that matter. In other words, superhero movies.

Oops! Sears Pulls Swastika Rings
Item: Sears Pulls Swastika Rings from their marketplace website.
Oopsie! Are Swastikas still offensive? Sheesh, can’t you people get OVER it already?
To be fair, these rings showed up in the “Sears Marketplace”, which I believe is not officially Sears. Consumerist also reports that the rings were “briefly” on Amazon.com as well.
The item’s description, according to the Consumerist article, is quite something:
“This gothic jewelry item in particular features a Swastika ring that’s made of .925 Thai silver,” the item description read. “Not for Neo Nazi or any Nazi implication. These jewelry items are going to make you look beautiful at your next dinner date.”
So if, as the song says, you don’t know you’re beautiful…
perhaps one of these rings can help? I doubt it.

Son of Thanos Has Major Daddy Issues
If you are the son of Thanos, it would make sense that you would have some serious Daddy Issues. (Thanos, aka “who is the purple guy at the end of the avengers movie“, still a popular Google Search autocomplete. He also appeared in “Guardians of the Galaxy“, but it wasn’t as cool it could have been. “Guardians” was a great movie, lots of fun, go see it. Thanos could’ve been scarier though. Now back to the point.)

Personally I prefer The Avengers. Have I mentioned that lately?
Here is the description for a new comic book featuring Thane, son of Thanos.
At the close of INFINITY, Thane discovered he was the son of Thanos and that his touch was death.
Now, accompanied by the constantly whispered advice of the Ebony Maw, he wants to discover his father’s history, and his own future.
In other words, Thane (whoever that is) was unaware that (a) he was the son of Thanos, the mad Titan who wants to kill every living being in the universe in order to impress Death because he’s in love with her (yes, really — remember, comic books) and (b) when he touches people they die. (Which I suppose would make him pretty popular with dear old Dad.) Now he knows (a) and (b). That’s just… blech.
So yeah. Like I said. Daddy Issues.
