Duck Fetus Eating Contest Grosses Us Out
This story about a duck fetus eating contest in Brooklyn makes us nauseous.
We were about to write “But it shouldn’t because we eat eggs so what’s the difference?”
Then we read more of the story.
A word of clarification: they don’t call this food item a “duck fetus” because odds are nobody would eat it. Well, not as many people. The word used is balut.
And now we will explain what a balut is. And why we are, in fact, grossed out by the contest, despite the fact that we eat eggs.

Tip: Give Your Seat To A Pregnant Woman
When I used to ride the subway on a daily basis, I often saw people not give their seat to a pregnant woman. I thought that perhaps things had changed.
I’m so naive.
Guys, gals, humans of all ages. Here’s the deal. If you are on a subway or bus and are sitting down, and if you are capable of standing, and you see a pregnant woman, give her your seat. Just do it. Don’t think about it. Just get up and let her sit down. OK?

Video Games Suck, Part One

Games have become infinitely more complex as the years have marched on. There have always been games that flat out suck. But now they suck for different reasons. Here’s one. There are more. But we’ll start with this one.
Video Games Suck, Part One — Everything Must Be Online
What’s wrong with going online? Aren’t you blogging? You couldn’t do that offline. I mean, you could. But then nobody would read what you wrote. Hasn’t the Internet democratized everything, eliminated all strife in the world and made the planet a more wonderful place?
OK, now I’m just being obnoxious. Let’s stay with how the Internet has contributed to the suckification of gaming, especially for kids. Read more »
