My sound went out on the MacBook, or would go in and out. I used a headphone but that would work only on and off as well, and would have to constantly fiddle with the plug. After plugging and unplugging headphone cables & playing with the sound preferences for a few days, I took most of the cotton off a Q-Tip and pushed it slowly into the audio plug and turned it a few times. Then blew into it (didn’t have compressed air). The red light went on for a brief time (it hadn’t been on b4 that). Finally the sound started working out of the built-in speakers. Went off a few times since and I had to blow into it. Will obviously need to get a spring cleaning. thnx
