It was 1976, I was very young. Seeing Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman stirred something in me that I didn’t even know existed. She rocked that costume. No CGI back then. None needed.
Here’s something I never knew and only discovered just now while doing my research for this DaddyDeal. (Ahem. Yes, watching YouTube videos of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman qualifies as research. Stop it! It does too!) According to YouTuber chpoof, this clip is one of the “early slow-motion transformations”. No burst of light, and images of Diana Prince and Wonder Woman are superimposed on top of each other during the spin-change.
Also very 70′s and totally fun were Wonder Woman’s jumps, second only to the Six Million Dollar Man in their goofiness.
If you really want to know why it was that Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman was the fantasy of little boys everywhere, we offer this 7 second slow motion clip of her running as explanation.
Got it? Keep in mind that this was a long time ago. There weren’t images of scantily clad ladies all over the place. Frankly, I’ll take Lynda Carter in her prime over Megan Fox any day. There’s a reason she was Wonder Woman.
So. That’s that. As for the deal, it’s Wonder Woman: The Complete Collection (1976) on DVD for $35.49, which is a 69% savings. As Paris Hilton, a woman less attractive than Lynda Carter, would say, that’s huge!
