What Dad Did Today 5-26-11
Once again proving that I do not sit around all day eating bon bons, here is What Dad Did Today.
– Regular morning routine of getting the kids ready for school. Brief emergency because we were out of cereal; child did not flinch and was perfectly satisfied with substitute. I love my kids. (Awww.)
– Revised an article for an editor. Paying work. Ha! Take that economic downturn! In your face!
– Cooked remaining kale before it went bad. Ha! Healthy eating! Take that… um, stomach!
– Listened to the Howard Stern Show while cooking kale. Ha! Take that… oh, enough with that.
– Tried to take a nap but was too jacked up from the enormous iced coffee I had this morning. I need to stop drinking coffee. I say this about once a month. Here’s the pattern: I don’t drink any coffee for awhile. Then I have an early morning writing deadline or some other reason to be more alert than usual. So I drink coffee. Then I get all jittery and think, “I should stop drinking coffee.” Lather, rinse, repeat. This is what the voices in my head are saying, Oprah. Not sure I should listen to them too closely.
– Posted a new cover I recorded on the Brett Singer Music Facebook page. (Shameless plug.) It’s an acoustic cover of the Taio Cruz song Dynamite. Here you go:
