Ed Schultz Is A Schmuck [Men Behaving Badly]

Ed Schultz is a schmuck. I never understood his appeal, and didn’t give him much thought. But now that he’s called Laura Ingraham a “slut”, I feel the need to say something.

Calling a woman a “slut” as a generic insult is disgusting. He apologized but it doesn’t really matter.

Here’s what Schultz said (all quotes via TV Newser): “Like this right-wing slut Laura Ingraham… yeah, she’s a talk slut.”

Nice.

The rest of what he said was basically spot-on. Not particularly insightful, but like I said, I don’t find Schultz to be a particularly interesting commentator. Listen to him talk in this clip. Where does “slut” come from if not some dark place in Ed’s dopey brain?

Schultz was responding to this statement by Ingraham: “I do think of the disconnect and maybe the tone-deafness, if you will, of that devastation from Missouri. Heart-breaking pictures and then President Obama lifting the glass of Guinness. There’s something about that, that I think hits people in the gut.”

Ah yes. Of course. Because that’s not a stretch, Laura. Because you aren’t just looking for any way to say something negative about President Obama. Sure.

So. Ed. Call her an idiot. Say she has no mind of her own. Make that point about Reagan doing the same thing and her praising him for it, which, if true, is a decent enough “gotcha.” But where did you get “slut”, Ed? Seriously, what’s going through your mind?

Would somebody please give me a radio job? I would be so much better than this moron.
